Bulls' Thomas Doesn't Miss a Beat

Chicago Bulls forward makes strong recovery
from forearm fracture

January 5, 2010

CHICAGO - Chicago Bulls' forward Tyrus Thomas made a strong return to the Bulls lineup only seven weeks after he suffered a fractured radius of his left forearm. In his first game back with the team on December 26 against New Orleans, Thomas played 32 minutes and finished with 21 points, nine rebounds and two blocks.

Thomas injured his arm during a weight training session in early November and underwent surgery on November 7 to repair the fracture. The successful surgery was performed at Rush University Medical Center by team physicians Dr. John Fernandez, Dr. Brian Cole, and Dr. Mark Cohen.
